Park Attractions and Amenities:

The park offers walking trails, three playground areas, a par-62 disc golf course, a ball field, volleyball courts, Hamblen Marina, boat ramp, picnic areas, campground, horseshoe pits, R.V. dump stations, two outdoor pavilions, one indoor pavilion, and sheds for rent, and the Citizen Tribune Jefferson Federal Amphitheatre.

Cherokee-Park-Disc-Golf-MapMorristown/Hamblen County is the disc golf capitol of East Tennessee with three championship courses designed by H.B. Clark. Cherokee Park is the home of a par-62 course suitable for all levels of play from the beginner to the tournament pro.

Cherokee Park AmpitheatreCompleted in the Fall of 2003, the amphitheatre has been an excellent addition to the amenities at Cherokee where can i buy diazepam online in usa Park. Applications and contracts for use of the amphitheatre can be obtained at the Cherokee Park main office, located in the center of the park.

  • 3 Days – $1250.00

If your event is cancelled due to inclement weather, a “rain date” will be provided at no additional cost.

Veteran's-PavillionCherokee Park’s enclosed pavilion, the Veteran’s Pavilion, will provide adequate space for up to 100 people. The pavilion is air conditioned/heated, has a kitchen facility, and a view of Cherokee Lake.

Rental Rates are as follows:

  • Hamblen County Residents: $175 per day
  • Out of County Residents: $225 per day
  • Wedding/Wedding Receptions $200 per day

Horner Dougherty Pavillion 001The largest of the pavilions at Cherokee Park, Horner Dougherty will provide adequate space for up to 200 people. The pavilion is equipped with restrooms and a kitchen prep area. Behind the pavilion you will find a bbq pit, playground, and horseshoe pit. In front is a gently sloping field that is ideal for children or guests who want to stretch their legs and play.

Rental Rates are as follows:

  • Hamblen County Residents: $150 per day
  • Out of County Residents: $200 per day
  • Weddings/Wedding Receptions $200 per day

Hale Matney PavilionThe smaller of the pavilions available, Hale-Matney is ideal for up to 140 guests. The pavilion is equipped with restrooms and a kitchen prep area for your convenience. There is a small playground behind the pavilion and a large open field that is perfect for playing ball.

Rental Rates are as follows:

  • Hamblen County Residents: $100 per day
  • Out of Count Residents: $125 per day

Please note that this pavilion is located near the amphitheatre. In the event that the amphitheatre is rented for the same date, it will take precident over all other rentals. You will be given the option to reschedule or a refund will be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Camping Reservations OfficeThe campground office is located in the center of Cherokee Park. Cherokee Park offers 85 different campsites throughout the park. There are several designated as “primitive” sites where you can pitch a tent and rough it or you can drive the family RV and connect to the water and electrical hook-ups provided. The campground is equipped with bathrooms and hot showers for campers as well as dump stations for self-contained RV’s.

  • Sheds $20 per day
  • RV Hook-up site: Daily /Weekly $35/$175 per day  Seniors 62+ $31.50/$157.50
  • Monthly Rates 8 Days or More $450  7 Days or Less $350

Boat Dock 002Located at the back of the park, Cherokee Boat Dock offers slips for rent to house your personal watercraft, bumper boat rides, john boats, 18′ sun trackers, & 24′ deck boats.

Campground Regulations

  1. Campers must be of legal age to rent campsite.
  2. Camping permitted only on designated sites. Check out time is 5 p.m.
  3. Long term camping (more than 29 days at the same campsite) has been discontinued for new campers and is being phased out through Dec. 2027 for campers in place as of January 1, 2025
  4. Camping on the same campsite is limited to 29 days.  Campers are permitted to move to another campsite at the end of the 29-day period with a three-day notice to the park management.
  5. Workers on temporary assignment with area employers are permitted to use the same campsite for up to 90 days with verification of employment in the Lakeway Area.  Employment status will be reviewed every 90 days by park management.
  6. Victims of house fires or natural disasters (i.e. floods) are permitted to stay on the same campsite for up to 90 days while they search for more permanent housing. Their status will be reviewed after 90 days after 90 days by park management.
  7. All campers are expected to keep their campsites neat and clean.
  8. Exterior of campers must be clean.
  9. Campsites must be clear of trash and other debris. Dispose of trash in appropriate dumpsters.
  10. No items such as appliances, lawn care equipment, indoor furniture, wood pallets and inoperable camping equipment can be stored on campsite.
  11. Decks, porches and canopies are prohibited in the back campground.  Decks no larger than 8 X 8 ft are permitted in the front campground to accommodate the steep terrain of the campsites.
  12. No drop cords or water hoses may be placed across campground roads.
  13. Herb, vegetable and/or flower pots/ gardens are not allowed on campsite.
  14. Fencing is not allowed on the campsite or around camper.
  15. Dump stations are available near the campsites for use of the campers.
  16. All vehicles must be parked in front of camper or tent. Limit 2 vehicles per campsite. All vehicles must be licensed and operable.
  17. Boats, boat trailers, and storage trailers must be parked in designated area, not on campsite. Hamblen County and Cherokee Park are not responsible for damage or vandalism of the items stored in the designated area.
  18. Dogs, cats and other pets must be kept on a leash. They may not be chained and left outside the tent/camper at any time.
  19. Campfires must be kindled in such a manner that no tree, shrub, grass or other flammable matter can be set on fire.
  20. Motorcycles may be used only on campground and/or park roads to enter and leave the area.
  21. Visitors should be aware of the possibility of snakes, poison ivy, insect bites and drowning. These dangers are present and must be dealt with if you and your children plan to spend time outdoors.
  22. Fireworks are prohibited in Cherokee Park.
  23. Alcoholic beverage consumption is prohibited in Cherokee Park.
  24. Speed limit in the campground is 10 MPH.
  25. Quiet time shall be observed at all camping sites between the hours of 12 midnight to 8 a.m.
  26. Campers who damage park property, such as bathhouses, water/electrical connections, etc. are responsible for paying for the repairs, both parts and labor.
  27. Behavior causing law enforcement to be called to the campground is grounds for eviction from the campground and the park without a refund.
  28. Rent payments are considered late on the 6th day following the due date. A late fee of $5/day begins on the 6th day past the due date.
  29. Enforcement of the rules and the decision to evict a camper is at the sole discretion of the Park Manager.
