Monthly Commission Meetings
The Hamblen County Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and Property Maintenance meetings are scheduled for the first Monday of every month. The commissioners will hold a workshop beginning at 4:00 PM. The Planning Commission meeting will begin at 4:30 with the other meetings immediately following.
Please call 423-581-1373 or email planning@co.hamblen.tn.us to be placed on the agenda. The deadline to be placed on the next agenda is the first Friday of the month.
All meetings are held in the small courtroom on the third floor of the historic side of the courthouse.
All meetings will begin at 4:00 PM with a commissioners workshop. This workshop is open to the public.

Planning Commissioners
The Planning Commission is an advisory board made up of five Hamblen County citizens and two Hamblen County Commissioners, all appointed by the Hamblen County Mayor. The respective boards review subdivision plats, rezoning request, administrative interpretations, zoning variances, and property maintenance violations at their monthly meetings.
