A public hearing to hear the request by Patrick McGuffin, Frank McGuffin and Harold Nichols of Lowland Waste Solutions, LLC, PO Box 1639, Morristown, TN 37816/431 Ryder Lane, Morristown, TN 37813 to operate a Class III Landfill on 83.05 acres of property located on Enka Highway (SR160) just south of Interstate 81 identified as Hamblen County Parcels 059-009.00 and 059-009.05 will be held on January 24, 2019 at 4 p.m. in the large courtroom of the Hamblen County Courthouse located at 511 W. 2nd North St., Morristown, TN. Anyone wishing to speak will be allotted 5 minutes. The Class III Landfill is to be used for the disposal of farming waste, landscaping and land clearing waste, demolition/construction wastes, shredded automotive tires and other similar wastes approved by Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) – Division of Solid Waste Management (DWSM).
